First post. I would have tried cross, but I've had a minor disagreement lately with my bike, so that hasn't worked out. I've gone to two races to heckle riders and my family finds the race environment entertaining. Our morning schedule isn't such that we can ever make it to the majority of the first race, so we usually miss the first-lap spills in the first race. We usually try to park near some hazard that will produce the most drama during the race. Eagle Island #1 we chose the sand section, but fortunately/unfortunately depending on your perspective nobody in the second race ate it. Of all places, I'd vote for the sand. We even went so far as to drag a picnic table over to have a luxury spectator spot. The Kuna race this weekend was better in terms of dramatic spectacle. We picked a spot on the grass where we could see the first single barrier on the uphill and the dirt table top with the far barriers in the distance. We saw one guy's tire blow out... he ran a long way: to the back of the pack. Then a little later there where three different falls within a minute all within view. The weather was great and I really want to try at some point. In the mean time I'm doing indoor training because it is harder to wreck on a stationary bike. Thanks for a great site and some good race organization. It is fun to watch. I've ridden with a few of you and I think I'm even in a group photo from the Blind metric century. See you around.

Welcome!
It's good to see new faces on the site. I wasn't in those races which is probably why you didn't see someone eat it... stay tuned ;)
