I want to get a crew together to do the infamous emmett-horseshoe bend loop. Is anyone in? I'm flexible on the time but I'm sure we need to leave pretty early for this one.

No go here... I'll be out of town.

Out

Unless you want to leave at 2am so I can be back by 9 am I am out. I will have both my kids and I really don't want to pull 2 trailers over horsebend.

Hmm...

That might be fun actually... I expect full documentation of this event. Photos and video will suffice.

You caught me

Fine you caught me. I have no desire to ride my bike for 80 miles of pure hell. J/K I love that ride but Mel is gone all day so as Eric would put it I am on Carson and Amelia duty.

Emmet Loop

I might consider meeting you in Emmett or something and riding back perhaps. Going to go skiing one of the weekend days so right now with the weather if it doesn't change planning to ski on Saturday and ride Sunday but who knows, weather changes so fast here. I am also slower than you all, want to actually build a base after all these past few years of basically no exercise so I don't want to slow anyone down though, which might take depending on what the group wants to do.

there is no group thus far,

there is no group thus far, and that long of a ride might kill me. So I am perfectly willing to go at your pace if just the two of us go. Let me know. Oh and if you ride sunday let me know too.

My thoughts

I am riding that morning for sure and I am fairly confident there will be others from Hobble Creek riding as well. I am thinking of riding from about 6:30 am until 9:30 or 10:00. I love that loop and want to do it soon. However, I am thinking of staying closer to town in case weather turns bad and the forecast seems a little iffy right now.
I have been thinking of Cartwright, over to Table Rock and doing the climb up Table Rock and the road on the back side on Rocky Canyon. Then some flat spinning of the legs after that.

I might be in for that if i can't get anyone else in

I had constraints

but it still worked out. I left in the rain on my commuter (flat handlebar, rack, lights, fenders -- it rocks!) and rode to mom's. Took care of some family stuff and then rode home, even taking in that hill off of Warm Springs. Ended up with 35 miles. So not epic, but I still a great ride.

Who else has gotten out already?
