Rob's Rides

rob deeble's picture

Thursday: I plan to be down at Camels Back at 4:00 to do a mountain bike ride for 1 1/2 - 2hrs.

Friday: I plan to ride but am a little up in the air as to what.

Saturday. In the a.m. I plan to do a fairly long mountain bike ride. Maybe the rock garden area.

Of course weather can play a factor in these plans but at least you know of some general ride plans if y0u have any interest/availability.

Mtn Ride

Is it dry enough now to not cause more erosion on the trails now? Let me know, mtn ride sounds fun but I can't make this one. I was just curious about trail conditions, I assumed with all the moisture it would still be bad for trail conditions to do a mtn ride if it was above freezing.

Rob's just wishing...

He's in this crazy "must bike, must huck" mode. If only he'd discover the sweet joy of the skate! :)

Trail conditions

I have done one mountain ride each of the past two weeks and the trails have been really pretty good. Now, we chose trails that were most likely to be sandy, but as long as you pick the right day and trails they are great.
I have also been doing a trail run after my rides in the dark and have really enjoyed running in the peace and quite, as well as the softness of dirt.

P.S. What I do can never be called "huckn". I wish! But even for whimpy me I have not been doinig anything but very tame cross country riding. I plan to start getting the big hit bike out a little more as we near spring break:)

Change of plans

Do to this Friday rain I will be doing a Sat. morn road ride. I would like to get in at least three hours. I am thinking of leaving my house at either 6:00 or 6:30. This should be right up Matt's ally, any other takers?

Trail Conditions

Just an update on the trails. They were amazing. But probably not any more. I am out for your road ride in the freezing morning. I will wait for later in the day.

Time Saturday

What time on Saturday morning are you looking at going? I am going to do the Emmett loop but I am not leaving at 6:30. I am more looking at 8 or 9 leave time.

Saturday

On the 21st I got in over 70 miles (that was the Arrowrock ride). 2 weeks later, we did the HBE loop, again over 70 miles. This Saturday will be 2 weeks later, don't you think it's time for a century? :)

How about heading out to Middleton, up Old HW 30 / Sand Hollow, from there we have lots of options, but eventually end up on the Emmett-Roubiux route (south slope?), back up Old Freeze Out, and home? (If that isn't enough climbing for Rob, we could add Can-Ada on the way out, and the add a spur up Old El Paso and back down Little Freeze Out.)

On Wednesday, how long do you think you'll be out? I might be able to get out there a little later.
