3-18-2010, First Thursday Club Ride
OK, I'll be the first to sign up for a Thursday ride. We've got a LOT of days open... pick one and add a forum post on the topic with a date included so it shows up on the calendar.
This ride is yet to be determined, but I'm thinking a road ride leaving from the Hobble Creek area at 6pm. Will update this post with more info as we get closer.

Heck ya it's still on. I signed up didn't I?? :) So I'm open to options though, anybody have an opinion for road or mtb? We could just as easy meet down at camelsback and hit some trails. Sounds like Rob's going to be down there earlier that night anyway. I'm game with a couple hours on the road though too. So speak up and let's get the Thursday night rides started!!

I am game either way. I think you will have a larger turnout on the Road. But if you want to do mtb I am of course in. If we do an mtb ride lets head over and hit the table rock stuff. If you are looking to prep for moab then that would be a good one.

My thoughts
I planned my Thursday ride not thinking of a club ride. I can change my ride schedule to fit the Rock Garden in another time. I think it might be nice to do a road ride and try and get as many new faces (including wives/husbands) out as possible. I think it might be easier to ride and get to know each other a little better on the road. I will plan to be there whatever our fearless leader decides.

The game plan is a road ride.
OK, road it is. Let's meet at Rob's house for a 6pm departure from Hobble Creek subdivision. Depending upon who shows up we'll just tweak the ride to match so let's get everyone out! Most likely head up Eagle Rd and go from there...

I'm in for the Thursday ride, but check out the current forecast. This is off of weather.gov for 6pm. Notice the high winds with gusting to 32mph. I may take my mountain bike for when I get blown into a field!

Sounds like the plan to ride towards the NW is a good one... so the ride back home will be rocket powered. We need a good NW/SE road though. I guess we'll get some echelon practice in, eh? :)

For those who couldn't catch the first club ride -- 13 brave souls departed from Rob's house. The wind was stiff but with a pack that big it was a very fun ride. Craig brought some friends, so we had a lot of new faces out there. Excellent evening all around!
