Looks like fun, anyone else thinking of attending this year?
Route
The route looks awesome. Some of it similar to last time we were up there, but a whole bunch new/different. I'm game, but will have to scope out the rest of our fam's interest since I know some people wanted to ride Cycle Oregon this year.
Strongly considering
Jenny and I would love to do this again. '07 was started there and was beautiful!
Ride Idaho and Cycle Oregon
I am going to try to do both RI and CO (assuming course is good) this year, I think I will sign up for RI as soon as anyone else decides to commit and then hope I get to do Cycle Oregon if anyone makes that choice too. I really love doing these supported rides and find myself looking forward to them more each year.
I know CO fills up very quickly once registration is open but hoping some other people on the club will decide to do either one so I have people to go with! I am not enough of a social butterfly to head off and do one of these on my own I don't think.
FYI: CO course announcement is on Feb 4th.

One or the Other
Ii would love to do both but if I even get to go I can only afford one. The Ride Idaho looks awesome. I guess I will look to see what others are doing. The hold up for me on Ride Idaho would be it is on my anniversary.

Jenny and I are IN!
I haven't paid up yet, but we talked over our summer today and we just decided we'll have to make it work. We've got some issues with the number of vacation days, plus we still need to figure out someone to watch the kids, but I think if we just pay up then we'll be motivated and will figure something out!
I think Jenny was 50-50 until hearing from Kerry that she grew up there and how beautiful the route will be. This will be an awesome ride!

'07 was amazing, beautiful scenery, awesome entertainment, good food (except not much for vegetarians).
'08 set the standard, but in different ways. For example, the dry bologna sandwiches at Squirrel, ID!
Any idea what '10 should have in store? (Don't get me wrong, we're signing up no matter what. But I'm curious if by heading back north we'll get the same incredible week we got last time.)

Well I don't know about any inside info yet... I'll have to check things out. I did find some cool old photos of Team Reel doing the ride through the years though. :)

Great! Yes, I mailed in my form last week. I am looking forward to this very much as well. It has been my favorite summer vacation now for the past two years I have participated.

Thank you for registering for the 2010 Ride Idaho cycling tour. You won’t be disappointed! Our week through northern Idaho and Montana will be an incredible adventure. While we explore new landscapes and learn more about Idaho, you will also be surrounded by warmth and hospitality from fellow riders, fabulous volunteers, and our delightful host communities.
As you know, Ride Idaho's goals are simple:
* Inform and inspire cyclists with Idaho's heritage and history;
* Provide positive economic impact to our unique and varied towns;
* Promote healthy and active lifestyles; and
* Raise awareness of safe cycling!

Preparing for the Ride:
Stay tuned! Over the next few months we will be updating the Ride Idaho website with additional community information, more specifics on lodging, and a training plan that will get you in shape for our August ride! In addition, we list some additional services that might make your trip more comfortable. I will send you occasional updates (teasers) about the ride, and of course we will be sending you a detailed rider information packet in July.
Payment Information:
50% of the cost of the ride will be due by March 31, 2010. The remaining balance for the ride must be paid in full by June 15, 2010. You will be notified by us as these payment dates draw near and we can make arrangements for your payment.
I am new to the role as Ride Idaho Coordinator and look forward to meeting all of you. From what I hear, anyone who participates in Ride Idaho creates magical memories and lifelong friendships. What more could a person ask for?

I just found which wheel to try and hang on for 450 miles!
My situation is similar. Every year I miss Jenny's birthday to go to Moab. She usually forgives me about the time we start talking about the next Moab trip!
