Let's sign up as a team.

This is the first charity ride of the season that I mentioned at the team meeting. If you're planning to ride this, let me know and we can all sign up as a team. We only need 5 riders to get recognized as a team, but I bet we can get more than that.

Sounds good

Although I'm still debating signing up for Mt Hood, which is the same weekend.

I would most likely be up

I would most likely be up for that. If we get enough let me know and we can sign up as a team like you mentioned.

nate? eric?

They just emailed an event flier. How do I attach it here?

Just edit...

Just edit your original post and look for the file attachment option. I don't think you can attach files in comments.

Actually

Just kidding actually. You cannot add files to an Event post such as this. But you CAN add files to a forum post. Forum posts can also have dates, which will then be added to the calendar similar to Events. Does that make sense or what?! ;)

Confusion

This is getting off topic, but maybe we should disable the Event content type and have people enter events through the forum? The only downside I see is any existing events will need to be recreated as forum posts.

Good plan

I think that's a good idea actually... plus then basically everything has a copy in the forums for when people are digging around.

It would probably be less confusing as far as posts and commenting goes also, since I've seen a few times when events and forum topics on the same subject are co-exisiting with separate comment threads.

As far as redoing the existing events... I'd say just disallow access to creating them, but they'll still really be there. That way the events just carry on into extinction while we create anything new in the forums.
