Fairground Crits
So who's racing tonight? Anybody in the D or C flight (women or men cat 4/5's)? Just want to show up and watch if we'll have some other team members out there earlier. Ladd, Nate, Matt M, Ted... anyone? :)

Well I would have to say that I think riding my bike on the green belt would be more fun then these crits are becoming. Sorry for the bad attitude.
I did finish today with the pack but people ride like total morons and can't hold a line or watch were they are going. The last 8 laps were a death race. Each lap there were almost 1-2 crashes. Even in the 1,2,3 field. I dropped to the back and just stayed out of trouble. Sorry racing just to stay out of crashed is not what I sign up for. I won't be at the next one because my sister is graduating, and we will see if I go back at all. I might start doing some of those crazy Brad workouts some of these Tuesday nights.

Sounds crazy... was the course different or something? Prior races seemed OK to me with a few things here and there but no crashes in the 1/2/3 race. The wind was definitely making people get twitchy coming into the final corner last week, but other than that I don't think the first two races were abnormal. That many near misses is nuts though.
Course
It had a tone of turns and all the cons were strung out by time our race came. They didn't even bother to reset them up. The last 2 I did were fun. I would agree with you on that.
Ride report
Sorry to hear about a bogus race!
I went with a few friends from work over to the Avimor trails. I'd never been out there. It was close and pretty fun. The loop we took started with a long climb on a jeep trail, then we followed a road up towards stack rock. I need to go back with more time because I'm sure you can connect to stack rock. Then there's the long, long single track descent. Reminded me a lot of dry creek.
There were no cars in the parking lot so we had the place to ourselves. I'm definately going to go back and explore more of the trails out there.
Tuesday Nighters
Well, I am going to start doing my regular Tuesday night thing on June 2nd, if anyone is interested. Also, Wednesday mornings around 8-8:30ish I am doing longer endurance rides to build up my base again as well, let me know if you are interested.

Sounds like a few issues at the course, people must have complained the course was too boring, so they livened it up :P
