In for Sat

Count me in for the Sat long ride. I'm up for an adventure...

For sure

I am in for sure. Just thought I would eliminate Eric's doubt since he calls it. If I say maybe it is normally a no. So I am In.

And this is for

cross bikes, right? :)

Just for you Ladd

You can bring your cross bike Ladd. Do you even own one right now? ;)

So what's the estimate on total ride length/time? Just wondering as far as planning what I bring to eat, etc... I'd like a good long one if others have time.

Time and cross bikes

I was figuring 3 1/2 hrish. I wish I felt tough enough to bring my cross bike, but unfortunately I am far too whimpy. If you have not seen Ladds new cross bike I must say it is pretty sweeeet look'n!

You holding out

What is the deal Ladd? You holding out on us? Get posting that bike.

I was just putting it together last night

before the ride. I didn't get everything dialed, but good enough for Shane's.

I hate to sound biased, but this thing is SWEET!

I hope to make it

I may not be able to do the full ride this week, however.

post ride debrief

Well, I must say that was the coolest, sweetest, knarliest, funnest, raddest, bestest mountain bike ride of the summer! We started with six of us embarking on our fun filled journey, Tim Anderson, Ladd, Steve Olsen, Eric, Harris, and Rob. We headed up Sweet Connie and hardly a cow paddy to be seen. It was a great climb and the weather was perfect. Part way up Tim had to head back down and shortly after Steve had his seat collar break forcing him to turn around as well.
We climbed up to the top of sweet connie, where it meets with the stack rock trail. From there we climbed up to the trail head farther up Bogus basin road. We then climbed the road to the Bogus Basin parking lot (the only time I climb Bogus this year and it happens to be on a mountain bike). From the parking lot we climbed Dear Point, one of the new sweet single track trail saround Bogus. Dear Point took us to the top of the quad.
We then took the ridge road down to Shingle Creek. If you have not gone down Shingle Creek hold on to your hats, because the first part is so steep and loose that you are iin nothing more than a semi-control skid. after the steepest part was over we tested our rotors bt dropping water on them, talk about sizzle!! The rest of the ndown hill was a blast! Shingle Creek hooks uo with the bottom of Dry Creek which we followed down tp the road.
Geat beautiful climbs, crazy and fun down hill, simple perfect!!! Ladd and Eric have our stats, but if I remember, we road for abouot 28 miles with a little over 4400 ft, of climbing. Thanks to all those on the ride for a great ride!!!!

I think you summed it up. It was a great ride. My legs were sore today...
