Thursday Club Ride - Aug 21st

How 'bout a mountain bike ride this week (or cross if you're feeling it)? Departing from Camels Back at 6pm. The ride will be in the standard chilled Thursday style, except for an optional 10ish minutes of pounding as we attempt Mark's Sidewinder TT Challenge. Who's in?

Redemption

Wish I could join, especially for the sidewinder TT part, but this week I start coaching soccer again. I really need to go back and do the TT one more time on the single speed. 9 seconds off my time, and I officially retake the SS lead.

J.J. Injury Update

First, Thanks so much for all the help and concern from Brad, Joeli, Joe, Eric, and Nate. For those who do not know J.J. took what was about the worst spill I have ever seen in person. Right above the rock section on Hulls Gulch there is a near vertical cliff of about 15 feet. While climbing she lost control and fell all the way down. She was in a lot of pain and extremely emotional after. She has many cuts and bruises and a scratched up helmet. The worst I believe is; it appears she deeply bruised her Trapezius muscle (that is the large muscle that spans the back, neck and shoulder). She will be tender for a while and become intimately acquainted with Motrin, but otherwise fine. It scared me pretty bad but am grateful she is mostly O.K. Again Thanks to those who were there to help!!!! J.J. Also passes on her thanks and is very touched by the concern.

JJ's accident and bike rides

Rob:

I appreciate your invitations and other's invitations to various bike rides. Unfortunately my week-ends and even Thursdays have been co-opted by soccer and other activities. I just logged on tonight after being out of the loop for several weeks and read about JJ's accident. I am glad it was not more serious than it was. This sport is great fun, challenging and also a bit dangerous. I hope JJ is feeling much better by now. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
