I plan on doing a mtn. bike ride meeting at Camels Back at 7:00 a.m. Come and join the fun. I am open to ideas, but here is what I am thinking. Up Hulls Gulch, Up Scotts, Hit Trail 4 to the ridge, down Five Mile Trail, Up to Three Bears, down Three Bears, and then back to Camels Back. Sounds like fun huh. Come on everyone is doing it:)

IN!

Sounds sweet... I'm in. Finally works with my schedule. :)

Maybe

I might be in, depending on how I'm feeling in the morning. I've been sick all week and still a bit congested today.

Awesome ride.

FYI, that is a really cool loop... have to do it more often as it was my first time.

Sounds Awesome

I have been eying that loop for a while now but have never gone out and done it. Any good details? How long was it?

My Stats

Took us 3hrs 33mins which included 31mins of stop time. 22.85 miles. 4857 in elevation gain.

My legs felt fried all day and were on fire by the end of the ride. I think that Thursday ride just coming off of being sick sucked the juice from my legs and they never quite reloaded for Sat morning. Once we hit the 5 Mile trail and started bombing downhill they were actually shaking from being so tired just going down. That is a FAST downhill... you lose 1000ft almost instantly and another 1000 once you get to the rocky canyon road. Hopefully your brakes work well here as I'm pretty sure I burned up a chunk of my pads. Surprisingly we ran into several groups going uphill at that point, so it was good Rob was keeping a vigilant eye out as I would've likely plowed somebody with the speed we had ripping down. Passed a guy on a skateboard type contraption at this point... had a disc brake operated by his rear food and everything. Looked pretty wild. Climbing back up to three bears was just about all I could muster and Rob & Nate started dropping me at that point, but the downhill afterwards rocked with some excellent and FAST payback. Started running into lots of people once we hit Shane's and even passed Mike Kennedy just after Buck. The loop totally exhausted me... perfect ride really.

AMEN!

It was a great Saturday morning ride and the company was great. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have more with us.
