I am sponsoring a group ride on July 24th starting from my house at 13352 W. Bluebonnet, located in the Hobble Creek subdivision, which is behind the Target Store located at Chinden and Eagle. I propose we ride from 6:00 until about 7:30, returning to my house where we will have grilled chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, watermelon, etc. You are welcome to bring a side dish or chips if you would like.
We have a large pool and would enjoy having you bring your families who could swim while we were cycling or swim after our return. We will open the pool at 6:00. Those families who arrive before 7:30 can snack on chips and drinks before we return. There is a place to change here so you can also swim. Our backyard/pool/deck can easily accommodate 50 people so everyone is welcome. If only a few show that is fine too--just more food for us!
It would be helpful to have an approximate count, so please let me know if you plan to attend and how many from your family will come. We ask that a parent supervise his or her children in the pool.
The easiest way to my house is from Eagle Road. Just south of Target is a light at the intersection of Eagle and Hobble Creek road. Turn east into the Hobble Creek subdivision on Hobble Creek road. Continue east into you come to a T in the road, which is Wellspring. Turn left (north) onto Wellspring and proceed about 2 blocks over a small bridge. The next street is Bluebonnet Dr. Turn left and we are 3 houses down on the right.
Let us know if you plan on bringing a side dish or chips. Hope to see you here.

Sounds awesome!
We're IN! :) I'll be along for the ride with kid in tow at 6pm. Jamie will be working until about 7:45, then she'll come over and meet us for the food and fun. Great idea Steve. Thanks for the invite.
Swim Time :)
I am in along with my wife Joeli. We will bring either chips or some sort of desert. Thanks Steve, this sounds like a lot of fun!
Sounds like the best ride of summer!
I'll be there for the ride. I'll bring something to eat. Count on all of the family coming over -- sounds fun!
I'm there.
Count me in too Steve. Sounds like a good time. Not sure what I'll bring but I'll think of something before then.
Dan
Nice!
Sounds great. I'll be there at 6 for the ride and Jamie can make it around 7:30 after her work. We can bring a side dish... maybe a veggie tray or some sort of salad.
Where is everybody?
I can't believe we don't have more takers on this one... just the regulars so far anyway... as usual. :)
Count me in
I will be there and bring a side, something typical German or something. Thanks for the invite!
So sorry.....
So sorry we won't be in town...sounds so fun though! Thank you Steve for your hospitality. :)
Hope it's not too late to RSVP
I'll be there for the ride, with wife and 3 kids coming by to swim and eat at 7:30 or so. Sounds like there are a number of side dishes already, so we'll bring some brownies and perhaps some cookies as well.
Thanks for setting this up--sounds like a great time. If we were in Utah, we would do fireworks that night as well. Oh, and we'd also have the day off work, so we could get in a longer ride. :)

Let us bring the salad
I have got lettuce growing out of my ears over here. Can we please bring the salad? Thanks Nate.
July 24th ride
Yes, we can use a salad.
By my count we have 23 people coming. That does not include the Rob Deeble or Tom Elder. I think they may be coming with their families but will need to check.
We should have a great time.
Steve
Deeble's are in!!!
Rob, JJ and our three girls are in. Thanks a ton Steve for what will certainly be a fun night!
Hope to be there!
hey sorry to respond so late! true ted fashion, i suppose. sid and i will try to attend, my wife and other two sons probably wont make it as 7:30 is bedtime for the littler boys, and they can tend to be irritable, at best, if their sleepy. and i just couldnt do that to you guys! i'll ask her again anyway. cant wait! thanks steve!
RSVP-late
The Elder's will come to eat the scraps. Keep forgetting this on my radar. Hope we can still come over and if not...we'll just walk the two blocks back to our own home. ;-)
Thanks
Thanks for the fun night! I think a good time was had by all... well, maybe everyone except Ladd. One of these days his luck will swing the other way. :)
Here's a shot taken by Nate...

Thanks!
That was a good time.
If anyone found some brownish sunglasses, I think I left mine there somewhere.
Thank you!
Thank you very much Steve for letting us all invade your house and for the great food! Sorry we were a bit late but thank you for waiting for us. If people would drive the speed limit around that time of night it would have helped..
I took a few pictures of us riding and will check them out/post them later on. Thanks again!
Sorry I missed this!
Steve, Paula and I returned from vacation late last night. . . sorry I missed the BBQ, sounds like a blast. We'll be at the next one.
Fun night!
Yes, I'd have to say that was not only the biggest, but the best team ride yet! Thanks Steve!
The Deeble Family adds their THANKS!
What a great night! Good ride, friends, family, food, and swimming. Hard to beat that combination!!
better late (as usual) then never

Pics?
So where are all the action shots from that night. I swear I saw the paparazzi out when we hit the pool... and the pre-ride shots? Anything good turn out on you guys' cameras?
July 24th ride
Cindy and I enjoyed having everyone over for the swim and barbeque and I really enjoyed the ride. I haven't been able to convince Cindy that cycling is very fun. She is still a little nervous on a bike.
I have been out of town periodically during the last several weeks but hope to post some pics sometime between August 12th and 16th.
Thanks,
Steven Olsen
She just hasn't tried the right bike!
One ride on Jenny's "Dreamsickle" and she'll be hooked!
