Meridian Dairy Days -- looks like a fun family event. I'm bringing the kids so they can try out the race! From the flier I got:

This is a great opportunity to have a family event on bikes. Youth riders and parents welcome. At the event we can ride on the Meridian Speedway, do some skills riding, and have a lot of fun riding bikes, road and mountain and bmx and... Age graded events starting at NOON. We will send some of the older BYRDS Road riders out for an endurance ride starting at the speedway at 11:00 am.

Notes on age graded events:
ages 6 and under - 1 lap on the speedway
ages 7 to 9 - 2 laps on the speedway
ages 10 to 11 - 3 laps on the speedway
ages 12 to 13 - 3 laps on the speedway

Meet at the Meridian Speedway at 11:00 am. Parking will be identified on the south side of the speedway.

Where's the big boy race?

This seems like a perfect crit venue... with the parade, closed roads, etc... it's just calling for it. We could race on the speedway or before/after the parade on the closed roads. I'll bet the turnout is as big as Eagle Fun Days or more. The question is who can we talk into making it happen and doing the work? ;) It sounds like the byrds have set up the current program... now to just expand.
