Myself, a coworker (Ezra Gwilliam for those who know him), Brent Hamilton, and possibly Terry and Harris are heading out to the Owyhee's to do the Wilson Creek Trail (i believe they also call this "little moab") this Friday. I have heard it is a really cool trail and you often see wild horses out there. If you can get away from work a little early we will probably leave around 1:00. BTW I will probably be ridding my mtn bike most days after work thiis week if want to join me.
A "last day of school" party, eh?
Give me some details. I may actually be able to swing it - I will be volunteering at the lady's race earlier in the day and will already be in Nampa. Where and when would I meet you?
anybody who needs any encouragement
should check out this video. China wall looks FUN! Is that Mike in the LRC orange? :)
Sold
Okay I am going.
Travel plans
I am picking up Ezra at the JB's in Meridian right off the Freeway at 1:15ish. Then we will head out to Nampa to pick up Brent. So Ladd, we could certainly meet you somewhere along the way. Maybe Meeting at Brent's would cut down on the stops. Terry, Harris and I can make arrangements. Of course, anyone else who wants to join us just let us know.
pumped
I was a little excited to try a new trail that I have heard good things about. Now, after watching the video I am really pumped. Thanks Ladd for posting the video.
Word!
This is gonna be fun!
Fun
That looks like fun, maybe next time around for me.
Fri at 1??
Dang... ya I can't swing it. That China Wall section looks especially awesome!!
These trails are in the exact area that Matt and I have been Jeeping a little lately, just north a hair into the non-motorized area. Less than 2 miles away from what I can tell on the maps. Looks like there's a BUNCH of trail out there... gonna need a few trips to hit it all. Just make sure to get the china wall (W600) as it sure looks good.
I expect a full report with photos upon return! :)
Map and Directions
I have what loolks like a good trail map. I have also been given some directions from a guy I know who has ridden out there a few different times. We should be good to go.
