Amazing race, er...ride! I've done some centuries before but never one that was as much like a race as this one. Many of the riders were keyed on the Bob's riders and Robert Hoene. They have a history of hammering these events with some rediculous times. Last year, a group finished in 4:20. They did a similar time this year as well.
When the sorting came it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 miles. Ladd and I made the first cut and fell in with a group of 6 Bob's guys, 2 Broken spoke, and 2 Lost river riders. It was a fast, fast group. Along a stretch of Lake Lowell, the group pumped a +30 MPH active paceline for nearly 20 minutes. It was fast misery. We managed to hang on to mile 60 and then got trimmed at different times within the span of 5 miles. A couple guys bridged up to our group and we worked with them for a a while. Ladd found me again and we picked up Ryan, a 19 yr old DNA rider and worked our way back in, albeit at a more reasonable pace. :)
Time 4:40. Screamin! My fastest century ever.
Enjoy the fast cut video and some cool pics. There are some good Denning bros pics.

Nice recap!
The 50 was fun too. Good ride, good food.
