Hey, where are everybody's LP200 reports? Here's my 2012 edition:
Start time - Dang it! Why can't we start with the other 2 Reel Theatre teams? But we crossed paths many times, so that was cool.
Driver - Joe drove for us and he's great. I hate to sound superior and all, but I'm sure I had the greatest group of guys to ride with!
Fast start - Rob promised that he was going to start easy, but of course he was charging from the start. Classic!
Rain - I got rained on 3 of 4 stages. When I started from More's it was raining, so I had to scrub speed before the corners (yeah, I'm chicken). But I made it to Lowman alive, and still had fun on that stage.
Pain - I started Banner at a reasonable pace, with a big master plan to ride within myself and then hammer the last mile or so. But after being buffeted by wind and rain, somewhere around mile 9 instead of ramping up it felt like I had to slip into survival mode to get to the top. Oh well, the plan was good even if my fitness wasn't there.
Smiley - who came up with that stupid name? Terry and I had a great ride. I was able to contribute, but he was the solid one. Not only did he take great pulls, but he always had a positive attitude, even when a stiff headwind had us crawling up a small incline (12MPH maybe?)
Sun Valley - this is the best last leg I can remember. It took 10 minutes for my legs to wake up, but at least we had a favorable wind for once!
Bobby - a total hero for jumping into LP at the last minute!
Matt - yak king! Severe GI issues and he still smokes me!
Steve L - why did it take you so long to start riding with us??? You should have been throwing down on the road bike years ago!
Fun time taking over the Smokey Mountain patio afterwards, we should do something like that every year.
Who's up for LP 2013?

I guess since Ladd figured out the format I can follow suit. Sorry for posting to your blog Ladd...
Start time - We wanted to start earlier so we could beat the other two Reel teams to the finish line. Then we could pretend to be faster... Oh well! We weren't too far behind.
Driver - Joe was probably great. But we had Nick and Cassandra! Professional grade!!!
Fast start - No chance of that. I rode the first stage.
Rain - I got rain to start my Banner to Stanley stage. Felt pretty good!
Pain - Part of the race. The (L)ots of (P)ain 200!!!!!
Smiley - Jason and Bobby rode that stage. They said it started pretty good but got hard at the end. I think I'm on the hook for that stage next year.
Sun Valley - Last stage was great this year. Our team split up a bit but the winds were favorable so it didn't take long.
Bobby - a total hero for jumping into LP at the last minute! (Agreed)
Matt - yak king! Severe GI issues and he still smokes me! (Someday I'll ride as well as Matt rides when he is sick!)
Steve L - Steve is locked into a multi-year contract with our team. Don't even try!!!
Fun time taking over the Smokey Mountain patio afterwards, we should do something like that every year. (Agreed)
Who's up for LP 2013? (Me!!!)

I was fortunate to be on this great team with Dan, Bobby, and Jason. It was a an awesome experience. I am in for next year as well. This was my first road race and it was great to have everyone out there pushing each other. Thanks everyone to helping. Ladd, I don't know why it took me so long to start riding but it has been great so far. Thanks. LP 2013. I'm There.
