Twilight Crit helmet cam + Rob's Crash

After finishing the Twilight Criterium for the first time as part of the field sprint (I crashed out last year), I expected to be hit with lots of questions. “How did it feel to finish 13th?", “How were you able to survive the heat?”, or even “ How were you able to cover those attacks?” would have been welcome. But, the question most asked was…

“Did you catch Rob's crash on camera?”

Collegiate races in Salem

As some of you know, teach at BSU full-time and am a doc student. One of the affordances of taking a full load is that I am eligible to race collegiate, even at 39. So, I have been traveling the last couple weeks with a few more to go.

Howdy

Hello, all. It feels a little odd writing a blog I'm not sure anyone will take the time to read. :-) but I might as well keep record of my season somewhere. My name is Chris Haskell, this is my second full year of competitive road cycling, and I'm 39 years old. At the beginning of this season I am a CAT 4. Since I reached this level by starts alone (not points), I don't anticipate making the move anytime soon. I think it's more likely they'll move from a Masters 35+B to a Masters 45+B first.
