OK, I'll be leading the club ride on July 3rd. Details could change... but for now:
Road ride departing from Meridian Cycles at 6pm.

It was a fun race. Matt, Tim & I were there representing Team Reel. I was seriously doubting if I could even hang at one point about 15mins into the race. There were a lot of strong attacks right from the gun with several BODE guys trying to break off. Matt launched and chased a few down and was really firing bullets off. He said those early moves did hurt him later in the race though. The pack finally let them go (I think 3 BODE plus another guy) and those guys were never seen again, so they took 1st thru 4th.
Some photos I shot of mostly the A race, with a few from B:
Hello All,
Who is going to step up and lead this weeks club ride. I mentioned at the new year's party when we gave out the club credit and placed our clothing orders that while we didn't have club dues we did require all club members to lead one club ride and volunteer at one club hosted race/event. Please follow through with these small commitments. Please start signing up on the forum and link to the calendar date you wish to lead along with comments on where/what etc we would be doing.
Thanks!
Brad
Hello everyone,
I wanted to start this thread to get things going. We currently to a Tuesday night training session (weather has been bad the past few weeks) for club members. I want to get a weekly easy ride going as well. What day should we do it?
My idea is this, whomever is leading the ride that particular week decides were and what we are doing. I think it could be mtn or road rides. The idea is to have fun, not drop people and socialize, hang, etc while we ride.
Started at Optimist with my HP buddies. I pulled out my arm warmers, but dropped them on the bike and forgot them. So I pick up the bike and pull the warmers into the rear derailluer. Snap the dang thing off the bike!
So I pull a Fuller and convert it into a single speed. (So what gears should you use? I went with middle chainring, middle cog in back. Probably close to 2:1)
Final verdict -- It was a fun evening, but I'm not anywhere ready for a SS!
I picked up my clothing last night, and the jersey's are the "club" fit, not the "race" fit like last year. So it's quite a bit bigger, not the same at all. When you get your clothes, take a look at the tag to see if it says "race raglan" like last year, or "club raglan". I'm curious if all of the men's jersey's got messed up, or how widespread the problem is.
Seeing if anyone is interested in doing our old Tuesday night sprint/power workouts again. If so I will probably start easy soon and work up to hard stuff in the next month or so. Let me know.
